Q: I have pets, is this an issue?
A: Not at all, we love them! we don’t open any exterior doors, or windows without permission so we don’t risk a pet’s safety. we may ask that you safeguard your animals as our electricians often use power tools and are dealing with electricity, but every job is different, we will offer you guidance if the need arises.
Q: Are your electricians safe to enter our home?
A: All of our employees undergo a background check, drug screening as well a driving record check. You will always be treated with respect from Nelson Electric, and we ask the same in return.
Q: what happens in the event of a warranty issue.
A: We take our warranty very seriously. We track and log all warranty issues. If we see a pattern of decline in a manufacturer's quality, we can pivot to an alternative product to offer our current and future client base the best products.
Q: How can I best prepare for a contractor to enter my home or place of business?
A: Small items aren’t an issue at all but if you have a room in your house that we must work in and it’s a storage area or has a lot of furniture please let us know ahead of time so we can offer some guidance and be as prepared as possible.
Q: Why is there a $65 dispatch fee?
A: Our dispatch fee includes a fully licensed and insured electrician, a fully stocked van to which is equipped to handle a large variety of service calls that can often be completed same day as well as our multi-point safety checklist.
Q: Is the dispatch fee waived if I accept the estimate?
A: Yes!
Q: Do I have to have the free multi-point safety checklist?
A: We strongly recommend that you do as you can get some really good safety and information from it and it is a free service we provide. However, if you don’t want us doing so or aren’t comfortable having us all over your home or business, you can certainly decline. We never want you to feel pressured!
Q: Will you protect the area you are working in if necessary?
A: Yes! And during inclement weather we change our footwear before entering. We also carry covers for our footwear, drop clothes and more.
Q: Will you clean up after yourself?
A: Yes! We carry an array of cleaning products, drop clothes and more to keep messes to a minimum.
